How to book equipment on your phone
Calira is a web application that works in any modern mobile browser. You can check equipment availability, create bookings, and manage your schedule from your phone. No dedicated app is needed.
How to access Calira on your phone
Open your phone’s browser (Safari, Chrome, or any other) and go to app.clustermarket.com. Log in with the same credentials you use on desktop. The interface adapts to your screen size, so all core features are accessible on a smaller display.
You can add Calira to your home screen for quicker access. On iOS, tap the share icon and select “Add to Home Screen.” On Android, tap the browser menu and select “Add to Home screen.”
Booking from the calendar
Once logged in, navigate to the equipment calendar. You can:
- Browse equipment in your lab to find the instrument you need
- Check the live calendar to see when it is available
- Tap on an available time slot to start creating a booking
- Fill in the booking details: start time, end time, and any required fields
- Submit the booking
The same booking rules, access group permissions, and approval workflows apply on mobile as on desktop. If a booking requires approval, it will go through the normal approval process.
Using QR codes for faster access
If your lab uses QR code stickers, you can scan the code on an instrument with your phone camera to go directly to that equipment’s equipment booking page. This skips the step of searching for the instrument; you land on the right calendar immediately.

What you can do on mobile
From your phone, you can:
- View the booking calendar for any equipment you have access to
- Create new bookings
- View and manage your existing bookings
- Cancel or end bookings early (if your permissions allow)
- Receive and respond to booking notifications
- View equipment details, documents, and safety information
Tips for mobile booking
- Save the URL to your home screen so you can open Calira with a single tap
- Use QR codes on instruments to skip navigation and go straight to the right calendar
- Check availability before walking to the lab: view the calendar from anywhere to see if the instrument you need is free
